Agia (Saint) Pelagia is a seaside Cretan Village, amphitheatrically built, on the north coast of Crete, 20km NW from the capital of Heraklion, with natural beauty, lovely surrounding beaches and mild climate. The sea is always calm as shielded by green rocks. T he name has been derived from a convent 1km west of the bay, where there is the church of Ag.(saint) Pelagia. You can enjoy the crystal clear water and other water sports as a wide range of water sport facilities for all age group sis offered at the central beach. There are a lot of tavernas and restaurants with traditional Cretan food and specialities, shops and S\/M. If you want less crowded beaches you can visit Kladissos, Psaromoura or Mononaftis on the west or Lygaria and Made on the east of the bay.
